Pleanáil Teanga - 2018 go 2023

An Ghaeilge

Pleanáil teanga ar siúl i gCo. Chill Dara
Irish language planning in Co. Kildare

Tá tús an mhaith déanta ag Sult na Sollán leis an bproiséis pleanáil teanga ó go raibh sraith cruinnthe againn i rith na míonna seo caite, chun ionchur a fháil ón bpobal i Co Chill Dara. D'fhreastal thart ar caoga duine ar chruinniú poiblí ar 13 Meitheanmh sna Solláin le neart díospóireachta agus neart plé ón na lucht féachana a bhí i láthair. I measc na cur i láthair ar an oíche bhí an béim ar ceithre ábhar faoi leith - stadas an teanga ; deiseanna foghlama, deiseanna cainte, agus feiceáilteacht an teanga. Tá cóip den cur i láthair a ar fáil thios. Táimid ag obair faoi láthair ar dréacht scriofa de plan cúig bliana, 2018 go 2023 don Ghaeilge i Co. Chill Dara. Cuirfear dréacht den plean seo go na príomh rannphairithe agus na priomh ghrúpai sa chontae, sula foilseofar an plean i Márta 2018, mar cuid de Sheachtain na Gaeilge.

Sult na Sollan has had a good start with the Irish language planning process since we ran a series of meetings during recent months, to get input from the community in Co. Kildare. About fifty people attended a public meeting on 13th June in Sallins and we had plenty of debate and discussion from the audience. As part of the presentations that were given on the night, there was an emphasis put on four particular topics - language status, opportunities to learn Irish, opportunities to speak Irish and the visibility of the language. A copy of the presentation is available below. We are now working on drafting a witten five year plan for 2018-2023 for the Irish language in Co. Kildare. The draft plan will be made available to key stakeholders and groups in the county before it is published in March 2018, during Seachtain na Gaeilge.
